1. New matters covered by the deposit-refund As of March 1 , 2025, returnable beverage containers will be:
- The new containers:
- All ready-to-drink plastic beverage containers from 100 ml to 2 l that are not already returnable, such as bottles of water, sparkling water, juice, milk and spirits as well as other drinks.
- Containers already returned remain:
- The majority of beer and beverage containers soft drink made of plastic and glass.
- All ready-to-drink aluminum beverage containers from 100 ml to 2 l.
Please note that the amount of the deposit-refund on plastic beverage containers is 10 cents.
2. Phase 2 concerns you: your obligations
Until now, the beverage containers you marketed were not subject to deposit-refund , and now you're wondering what to do? Here's how. First, you must become a member ofQBCRA, the designated management organization.
3. Steps – register! To register, go to the Internet portal reserved exclusively for members by clicking on this link: Members
Registration deadline: January 15, 2025
Important: When you register, you will need to provide a list of your products in the "Product Management" section of the portal. This information will be used to program the automated recycling machines that serve the area. By providing it to us, you ensure that your deposited beverage containers will be accepted and that citizens will receive a refund for the amount of the deposit-refund .
