Quebec Beverage Container Recycling Association (QBCRA)
QBCRA is the government-designated management body (DMB) (Recyc-Québec) for the management of the deposit-refund system for non-refillable and refillable beverage containers. The QBCRA is responsible for developing, implementing, financing and managing the deposit-refund system, which has been modernized according to the Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) principle.
The QBCRA acts on behalf of beverage producers involved in the recovery, reuse, recycling and reclamation of beverage containers in Quebec.
Consignaction
Consignaction is the emblem and official brand of deposit-refund in Quebec. It is the essential link in the recovery and recycling of returnable beverage containers, whether made of aluminum, plastic, glass, and soon multi-layer cardboard.
Its role is to promote the recovery of returnable beverage containers in Quebec among citizens and organizations, and to facilitate their access to various recovery infrastructures, both inside and outside the home.
