Cans in the right place at Baie de Beauport

Consignaction is pleased to announce its partnership with La Baie de Beauport Sun Life, a recreation and tourism area renowned for its large beach on the shores of the St. Lawrence River.

Some twenty Consignaction recycling bins have now been installed on this popular site to recover cans and bottles consumed on site, and prevent them from ending up in the garbage or even in the river. The agreement also includes the installation of a Consignaction entertainment zone. As soon as they arrive on site, holidaymakers are invited to take part in a giant pocket game that associates high scores with the recycling behaviours to be favoured, a simple and fun way of raising awareness of the importance of deposit-refund.

The partnership between Baie de Beauport and Consignaction was an obvious one, since both entities advocate a sustainable development approach and share common environmental values.
