Consignaction

Consignaction is the emblem of deposit-refund in Quebec, the essential link in the recycling of returnable beverage containers, whether made of aluminum, plastic, glass, and soon multi-layer.

Reporting to the Association québécoise de récupération des contenants de boissons (AQRCB), which is the designated management organization (DMO) by RECYC-QUÉBEC, Consignaction oversees the development, implementation, financing and management of the modernized deposit-refund system, based on the Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) principle. Consignaction brings together the various beverage producers involved in the recovery, reuse, recycling and reclamation of beverage containers in the province of Quebec.

Consignaction promotes and maximizes the recovery of returnable beverage containers in Quebec. Our role is to facilitate access to various recycling infrastructures, both at home and away from home. Since 2001, we have been actively contributing to environmental protection, with the invaluable help of our partners such as :

• Producers and distributors who are members of theAssociation québécoise de récupération des contenants de boissons (AQRCB), the designated management organization (DMO) for the development, implementation, financing and management of the modernized deposit-refund system based on the Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) principle, which brings together the various beverage producers involved in the recovery, reuse, recycling and reclamation of the province's beverage containers.
• Recyc-QuébecSociété québécoise de récupération et de recyclage, whose mission is to guide Quebec towards a circular economy and combat climate change by encouraging the reduction, reuse, recycling and recovery of residual materials.
• Écho-Logique, a company specializing in the management and recovery of residual materials generated mainly at cultural, sporting and corporate event sites.
