Job description

Reporting to the IT Director, the Microsoft Azure Cloud Administrator will be responsible for the day-to-day management of our Microsoft Azure-based cloud environments. He or she will configure, maintain and optimize cloud resources, ensuring system security and performance. This role is key to guaranteeing the availability and reliability of cloud services.

Responsibilities and tasks

  • Manage and administer cloud resources on Microsoft Azure, including management of virtual machines, databases, networks and Server less applications;
  • Implement backup, disaster recovery and cost management strategies on Azure;
  • Optimize cloud infrastructure performance and costs, by applying best practices in scaling and resource management;
  • Ensure the security of the cloud environment, by implementing identity management (Azure Active Directory), monitoring and data protection (Azure Security Center) solutions;
  • Automate recurring tasks using Azure PowerShell, CLI or Logic Apps;
  • Monitor and resolve technical incidents in collaboration with other IT teams and provide regular reports;
  • Ensure that cloud environments comply with current safety and regulatory standards;
  • Collaborate with development teams to deploy and maintain applications in cloud environments;
  • Participate in the ongoing training of internal teams in Azure best practices;
  • All other related tasks;

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, systems and networks or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in Microsoft Azure cloud administration or in a similar role.
  • Mastery of Azure services (VMs, App Services, Azure Functions, Static Apps, Azure Storage, Azure Networking, Azure Security Center, etc.).
  • Knowledge of automation tools (Azure CLI, PowerShell, ARM Templates, Azure Dev OPS).
  • Experience in cloud security management (Azure Active Directory, identity management, security policies).
  • Knowledge of best practices for deploying and managing cloud resources.
  • Experience with monitoring and performance management tools.
  • Azure certifications required.
  • Team spirit and ability to work in collaboration with various stakeholders.
  • Organizational skills and rigorous management of priorities.
  • Ability to analyze and solve complex problems.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.

Who are we ? 

The Quebec Beverage Container Recycling Association (QBCRA) is the designated management organization (DMO) for the development, implementation, financing and management of the deposit-refund system, which has been modernized according to the Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) principle. It brings together the various beverage producers involved in the recovery, reuse, recycling and reclamation of beverage containers in the province of Quebec.
